The Path is a walkway, a very narrow lane
Between where we are and where we are going.
It is unique for everyone who wants to grow.
It is dynamic for each one who wants life to flow.

We peel away the layers of our life’s story
and begin to learn who we are and what we’re meant to be.
The process is sometimes long and the results can make us hurt.
We know not why we were so adamant about our story’s worth.

We create our value in our own eyes
and try to make others see us in this light.
When what should be our main objective
is to find our path and follow our Creator’s directive.

It is never too late to begin our specific learning.
We were sent here to find our path and begin our journey.
So I salute all fellow pathfinders and send peace and love
as you stroll your special lane with guidance from above.

About Civil War Reflections

Vernon has been a Civil War buff since childhood, but had been inactive in Civil War history for over two decades. However, in the early 1990s his interest was rekindled after watching Ken Burns’ “Civil War Documentary” on PBS. He particularly became interested in the Battle of Antietam (Sharpsburg) and decided to learn more about this epic struggle.
