LONGHUNTER 2 ,Longhunter clothing is really different

Longhunter clothing is really different than Civil War clothing.

We can wear the same Civil War shoes/brogans as long as our trousers cover the tops of the brogans. We aren’t supposed to show any lace up shoes.

The trousers/pants I chose (because my Pard told me to get these type trousers) are called French Drop Trousers. They have a button flap in the front that buttons on either side up near the waist band. They are cotton and were solid white when I bought them.

The coat/frock coat is also white and comes in one size fits all. It is long sleeved and has a shoulder cape that comes down just below the shoulder blades and collar bone. It was also solid white when I bought it.

Guess what happened next?

About Civil War Reflections

Vernon has been a Civil War buff since childhood, but had been inactive in Civil War history for over two decades. However, in the early 1990s his interest was rekindled after watching Ken Burns’ “Civil War Documentary” on PBS. He particularly became interested in the Battle of Antietam (Sharpsburg) and decided to learn more about this epic struggle.
